I am a photographer with a particular passion for landscape. Living in Scotland I have been spoiled by the breath-taking scenery, I don’t have to travel far to enjoy stunning views all year round.
My approach to photography means that there are many pre-dawn starts and very late nights, so I can capture specific light conditions. For me this only contributes to my interest, as I can immerse myself in scenes untouched by sound or light pollution, whilst awaiting the sun rising for my shot. I very much enjoy the process as much as the resulting photographs.
In 2018 I was proud to be a member of the Scotland photography team, which won the World Cup of Photography in South Africa. My submission ‘Winter Moorland’ can be seen on my website Phil Cooke Images.
I am honoured to be included into the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain Hall of Fame and last year I received a Scottish Photographic Federation Gold Medal.
In recent years, I have been a finalist several times, for the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year.
I hope that you enjoy my images and please feel free to contact me via my Facebook page if you have any questions. I am always happy to share any knowledge I have acquired.
